Manganese blue barium manganate sulfate pigment PB33

vandenhooven 27 October 2024

I recently started using genuine manganese blue colour, a pigment made from barium manganate sulfate. You can buy my first artwork using this unique and rare pigment here. I’m also starting to mix this colour in with the existing cobalt turquoise irises on selected paintings.

van den hooven

Illustrative artist van den hooven has a distinct visual language characterised by confident lines, divergent colours and imbued with vibrant symbolism.

Intentionally cluttered, contradictory and complex—his compositions capture the chaos of the modern world, through deconstruction and rearrangement of the internal and external and the animate and inanimate.
